Dario S. Bucheli was born in Monclova (Coahuila, Mexico) and is currently located in Beaumont (Texas). He received his BA from the University of Dallas, and his MFA from Texas Christian University - both in Studio Art with a focus on painting.

His most recent series of paintings present an opportunity to reflect on his particular experience as a Mexican national living in the United States, and to communicate the distinct cultural, political, and economic space he occupies as an immigrant. His acrylic on shaped canvas and site-specific paintings are indicative of a form of knowledge that symbolic, intuitive, poetic, and transcends rationalism. 

His work has been exhibited throughout Texas and abroad in both solo and group exhibitions. He is the current Curator of Collections at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas.
