Inspired by the tradition of alebrijes and tonas in Mexican folk art, this small sculpture depicts a rabbit, a recurring symbol in my work associated with vulnerability, transition, and transformation. Carved entirely by hand and painted with acrylic, the sculpture brings a familiar figure from my paintings into physical form. Its intimate scale and handmade character emphasize the rabbit as a precious, almost talismanic object, carrying ideas of fragility, resilience, and change.
